An AI proof of concept that started with the operation, not the software.
Dental Concepts Group already had systems and processes that worked, largely because good people understood how to make them work. The harder question was whether that was the most efficient way, where the bottlenecks were, and how technology and AI could help the group do things significantly better.
Dr Manish Chitnis brought practical problems from inside the business: staff attendance, rotas, business management, workflows, roles and responsibilities, and the way people and processes interact across the organisation.
- 01
Listen
Considerable time went into understanding how the group actually operates before a solution was proposed. The work started with the business, not with a technology pitch.
- 02
Map
Problems that felt complicated became process maps and visual infographics. That gave the team a clearer view of their own challenges, and a precise list of the information needed from them.
- 03
Prove
Once the problem was understood, the requirements were translated to the technical team. They built an AI application proof of concept the practice could see and experience.
What we looked at
- Staff attendance
- Rotas
- Business management
- Workflows
- Roles and responsibilities
- How people and processes interact
At proof-of-concept level the results were extremely encouraging, and they showed clearly what could be achieved. The journey was efficient, collaborative and enjoyable.
“Chetan’s real strength is his ability to sit between the business owner and the technology. He understands the operational challenge, helps you articulate what you are actually trying to solve, maps the journey clearly, and then translates that thinking into something the technical team can build.”
